LCS103 Formula
Active Phase 2 botanical formula for NMIBC recurrence prevention
Research Overview
LCS103 is LifeBiotic’s proprietary botanical formula being developed for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer recurrence prevention.
The formula is currently advancing through a randomized controlled Phase 2 clinical trial, designed to evaluate LCS103 as an adjunct to standard care in patients with NMIBC.
The program has one central objective: reducing bladder cancer recurrence.
The Unmet Need In NMIBC
With over 600,000 new cases diagnosed each year and recurrence rates of up to 80%, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer is one of the most recurrent and burdensome cancers. Even after standard treatment, many patients continue to face repeated surveillance, cystoscopies, procedures, treatment cycles, and the ongoing risk of recurrence.
This creates a major clinical need for safe, accessible, long-term strategies that may help reduce recurrence risk while fitting into existing urology and oncology care.
LCS103 was developed for this clinical setting.
Published Clinical Evidence and Key Findings
A peer-reviewed clinical case series evaluated LCS103 in 20 patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer who received the formula alongside conventional care.
The study reported that 3 of 20 patients experienced recurrence during follow-up, representing a recurrence rate of 15%.
This was compared with an expected recurrence rate of approximately 60%, reflecting a reported 75% reduction in recurrence.
This recurrence-reduction signal is the core finding behind the LCS103 development program and the main basis for advancing the formula into a randomized controlled Phase 2 clinical trial.

Publication
LCS103 clinical case series has been peer-reviewed and published in the Integrative Cancer Therapies Medical Journal.

Symptom Improvement
Additionaly most patients reported reduced urinary symptoms (pain, frequency, urgency, nocturia), less fatigue, and improved overall well-being.
Safety Profile
LCS103 was highly tolerated, with no adverse events reported.
Active Phase 2 Clinical Trial
Following the published clinical case series and preclinical research, LCS103 has advanced into a randomized controlled Phase 2 clinical trial for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer recurrence prevention.
The trial is designed to evaluate LCS103 as an adjunct to standard care, with recurrence and safety as key clinical outcomes.
Additional areas of evaluation include progression, urinary symptoms, inflammatory markers, and quality of life.
Development status: Active Phase 2 clinical trial
Clinical focus: NMIBC recurrence prevention
Main focus: Recurrence, safety, and patient-reported outcomes
Clinical site: Rambam Health Care Campus
Why This Research Matters
NMIBC recurrence remains one of the central challenges in bladder cancer care. LCS103 is being developed around this defined clinical problem, supported by a published recurrence-reduction signal, a multi-pathway biological rationale, preclinical activity, patient-reported findings, safety observations, and active Phase 2 validation.
This positions LCS103 as LifeBiotic’s lead clinical-stage botanical program and the central asset in its recurrence-prevention platform.
Educational Notice
LCS103 is an investigational botanical formula and is not intended to replace standard oncology or urology care. Patients with bladder cancer should consult their oncologist or urologist before using any supportive or investigational product.
