Prevention of Bladder Cancer Recurrence

Research on Botanical Formula LCS103

First-of-Its-Kind Solution for NMIBC Care

LCS103 is a patented botanical formula that presents an innovative approach to prevention of bladder cancer recurrence.

In a clinical pilot study, LCS103 showed promising results in reducing recurrence rates in 75%, leading to its progression into Phase 2 clinical trials.

Prof. Gilad Amiel discusses the transformative potential of LCS103 in bladder cancer treatment.

The Unmet Need in Bladder Cancer

Bladder Cancer: A Global Challenge with High Recurrence and Costs

Prof. Gilad Amiel sheds light on the severity of bladder cancer, the fourth most common cancer in men in the U.S. and a leading global concern. With high recurrence rates and costly treatments, early and effective interventions are critical to improving patient outcomes.

Bladder Cancer Stages & The Focus on NMIBC

Prof. Gilad Amiel explains the three main stages of bladder cancer, highlighting the urgent need for better treatments. With 75% of cases being non-muscle invasive, research efforts are focused on this stage—where innovations like LCS103 could make the biggest impact.

NMIBC: The Lack of Effective Long-Term Solutions

Prof. Gilad Amiel highlights the ongoing challenges in treating non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Despite available treatments, high recurrence rates, severe side effects, and poor patient adherence reveal a critical gap—there is still no truly effective long-term solution.

LCS103 Clinical Pilot Study Results

75% Reduction

in Bladder Cancer Recurrence

Without LCS103

60% Recurrence

vs.

With LCS103

15% Recurrence

The pilot study included 20 patients who received LCS103 in addition to their conventional treatment. Only 3 patients experienced a recurrence, resulting in a recurrence rate of 15%. This represents a 75% reduction compared to the expected 60% recurrence rate within the first two years.

Symptom Improvement

Additionaly most patients reported reduced urinary symptoms (pain, frequency, urgency, nocturia), less fatigue, and improved overall well-being.

Safety Profile

LCS103 was highly tolerated, with no adverse events reported.

Prof. Gilad Amiel, Chairman of the Urology Department at Rambam Hospital, presents the groundbreaking clinical pilot study on LCS103.

Phase 2 Clinical Trial of LCS103

Evaluating Efficacy in Reducing Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (NMIBC) Recurrence

Prof. Gilad Amiel, Chairman of the Urology Department at Rambam Hospital outlines the goals and plan of the upcoming Phase 2 clinical trial of LCS103.

The randomized clinical trial, led by the Urology Department at Rambam Hospital, will include 60 patients with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), who will receive LCS103 in combination with their standard treatments for one year.

The primary outcomes will focus on evaluating safety (through adverse events) and the recurrence rate at one year. Secondary outcomes will include stage or grade progression, assessments of inflammatory markers, evaluation of urination symptoms, and overall quality of life.
